At Baobab Mental Wellness Community, we offer a range of programmes to support our community, including food assistance, job training, and healthcare services. Our programmes are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual or family we serve.
Eric has worked in healthcare services for over 30 years and in the last 20 years, engaged in advising on strategy execution to executive teams whilst playing a key role in the coordination, alignment, quality assurance, risk management and supporting the delivery of leadership and management of the day to day operations in Mental Healthcare provision.
He has supported the delivery of key corporate/clinical processes such as patient safety, patient quality, patient co-production, the development of new and innovative services, stakeholder engagement, local delivery of innovative services, corporate reporting, market and competitive intelligence to mention a few.
As a leader, he has sat on national bodies helping to develop strategies and policies in the delivery of Mental Health care across England and commissioning very high-quality services for the care of same.
Eric has helped develop businesses and new lines of services and led in the engagement of stakeholders. I am capable of following on strategic priorities as they arise and work with the business stakeholders on identifying pragmatic solutions to resolve them.
Over the 30 years working in healthcare, Eric has worked as part of senior management in roles as; regional lead, service manager, Lead nurse, Senior Nurse/ Manager, Deputy Hospital Director, regional head of mental health commissioning, CEO.
Eric’s leadership and management experience begun in the 1990’s when he became the deputy head of fieldwork in Ghana on a research collaboration project between the University of Science and Technology (Ghana) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Maternal and Child Health). He has built a significant leadership portfolio and networks since then.
Relevant Qualifications: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), MSc Social Sciences research, Diploma in Professional Management. Prince Project Management Foundation.
I am excited to be part of the Baobab Mental Health Wellness Community team. I have a strong passion for helping the underprivileged and promoting sustainable practices, particularly in the UK and Ghana. I have work experience in the fields of education, mental health care and care, volunteering in homeless people and refugee. I am also privy to the local government setup and project delivery.
I am keen on using my skill set to impact society by providing support to individuals struggling with mental health challenges, fostering resilience, and promoting positive mental health within communities in northern Ghana.
